: My husband and I have never been to Cozumel before and want to have a memorable time. We have seen the pictures of all the hotels and villas and the looks of the Allegro have really caught our eyes. Is it just looks, or do they treat you right too? We would really like to hear from someone who has been there and knows before we go and put our money down! Please reply!
: THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The only 6-star hotel is the Presidente on the south end. It's very Anerican and truly beautiful. I've also stayed at Allegro, Paradisus, Cozumeleno, Coral Princess, and Iberostar. Of these, I enjoyed both El Cozumeleno and Coral Princess. They were both a great value. They are on the north end where it costs only $4.00 for a taxi to downtown(as opposed to $28.00 at Allegro, Presidente, and Iberostar). Both have nice rooms (ask for ocean view), good amenities, friendly service, and great pools.

I think the hotels I have listed above are quite similar, so price will probably help you make a choice. The only hotels that I would avoid are the Costa Club Cozumel, and San Miguel Cozumel. They are tacky.

There is no way to have a bad trip to
Cozumel. The people are so lovely, and the island is breathtaking.

Some wonderful restaurants include: Prima's(italian), Guido's(italian), La Mission(seafood), La Choza(mexican), La Veranda(continental). And last, but not least, for the absolutely BEST desserts EVER, The Coffee Bean. Decadence!

Have a great trip!
